1 LEXINGTON TURF NOTES 1 £ ® Samuel D. Riddle came to his cottage on Faraway Farm for several days last week. After an inspection of his stallions, mares, yearlings and foals and after a conference with manager Harry B. Scott, he reached a definite conclusion to sell all of his yearlings without reservation at the Saratoga sales in August in the Fasig-Tipton arena. Walter M. Jeffords authorized the follow- ■ ing mares sold privately: Assembly, Anchors Ahead, Calypso, Carola, Confusion, Exalted, Fine Gold, Gasbag, Fire Boat, Gilded Easel, Gold and Black, Hasten, Helsingfors II., On Her Toes, Neshaminy, May Alley, Sordavala, Traumerette and War Dancer. In addition to these mares, Walter M. Jeffords has authorized the sale of the mare, Shipshape, and her brown filly by On Watch. Mr. Jeffords has also placed for private sale i six yearlings by Faraway Farm sires and from Faraway Farm mares. Harrie B. Scott has authorized the sale of Ides and her chestnut colt foal by American Flag; North Beauty and her bay filly foal by American Flag; also three yearling fillies by Big Blaze. The Riddle mares are to be sold without their foals and are to be delivered when the foals are weaned. They are to be kept free at Faraway Farm until weaning time.
