I NARRAGAMSETT PARK NOTES I «— — — $ A. F. Doyle, well-known sportsman who is mighty sick with pneumonia at the home of Frank Keavns, at Forest Hills, New York, was reported as rallying nicely Monday night. Weston Adams two-year-old Conservative, which was injured while schooling at the starting barrier, will be ready to run in the Watch Hill Claiming Stakes, to be run on Friday afternoon, for juveniles, over the four and a half furlongs distance. The C. V. Whitney string at the local park was increased Wednesday morning by the arrival of Hollyhock, Piccolo, Chilkat and Capuche. Piccolo was the Whitney representative in the ,000 added Providence Handicap. L. L. Lycan arrived here from Pimlico with the platers Bender First, Seedling and The Mauler. Mack Winters, who resumes riding Thursday, after a five-day suspension, has been engaged to ride W. G. Clysdales Allen Z. in the ,000 added Governors Handicap here Saturday. Jockey J. Stout will leave Pimlico for Nar-ragansett immediately after the running of the Preakness next Saturday to come to Nar-ragansett Park, where he will find plenty of work awaiting; him.
