VANDA CERCLEA, away forwardly and a keen factor early, disposed of SHAGGY ANN when leaving tha back stretch, was taken off the rail when reaching the stretch, rallied to strong urging and outstayed PARVA STELLA. The latter, prominent from the beginning, responded to severe punishment and. closing gamely on the inside, was catching the winner slowly at the close. CORA KAY, unable to remain in early contention! after breaking swiftly, improved her position steadily and came with good courage in the last five-sixteenths.; BALLY BAY. shuffled back soon after the start, found racing room in the last half mile and finished stoutly. TITIAN KIDDIE was rushed hard after breaking slower than usual, but could not stay after gettinc into a forward position. SHAGGY ANN was done after reaching the stretch. BOLD FELLOW, reserved off the pace for the first mile while fencing boldly, raced into contention after the ninth fence, took an easy lead when SWIMALONG made a bad landing at the next to last jump, then held sway foi the balance of the trip. CAESARS GHOST, prominent all during the runnins; while saving ground, held on gamely for the final drive and was easily best of the others. SWIMALONG was racing gamely in the lead when he made a bad landing and almost fell at the next to the last fence. He recovered and held on determinedly thereafter. TROJAN RACKET bettered his position slowly in the last half mile. KEPI showed a eood effort. BRIAR BLUE raced evenly throughout. VAUXTOI lacked speed. BLACK FEATHER was done after going a mile. PASS _M BY, prominent while racing very wide, bolted from the middle of the track to the inside to block and interfere with BALADINE at the final eichth post, was straightened out quickly and drew out into a Ions lead at the dose. STORY TIME blocked OMAR MIRZA soon after the start, saved ground while hold* ing a forward position and held on gamely for the final drive. EJECTOR met with interference eoing to the turn, was shaken up and came gamely in the closing three sixteenths. BALADINE tpriated into a long lead, saved eiound, but tired badly after being slightly blocked by the winner. MAKALAW lost ground most of the trip. MULVANEY raced greenly. JUSTA TOWN could not threaten. OMAR MIRZA was taken up sharply when crowded against the inside fence soon after the start. Overweight — Mulvaney, 5 pounds. Continued on sixteenth page. PETEE BLUE, nicely handled and rated off the pace for the first three quarters, moved to the pacemaker readily when shaken up, took an easy lead when reaching the stretch and finished with much in reserve. SHEPHERD BOY was steadied in front while setting the pace, shook oil GRANDMAS BOY and ROAL CUNNING but was unable to stav with the winner when collared. MANUAL was taken wide to improve hisposilion and came willingly in the final stages. IDLE FLIRT was under strong handling ali the way, but could not menace. GRANDMAS BOY was well placed, but failed to rally. JUST REMEMBER raced in spots and pulled up lame. EGEON was never a lactor. HARD CHAF raced in dull fan-Q,. ALIT dropped back badly when reaching the final turn, continued gamely and outfinished tiring horses. GALMICA, steadied along early, made a weak effort entering the stretch and was held safe. BRAVING DANGER, taken under slieht reserve in the first three quarters, raced to the leaders readily when shaken up, wore BOBS BOYS and PHANTOM FOX down entering the stretch, but had to be kept under urging to the close. BOBS BOYS, bumped by IN FRONT when the start came, was rushed to his opponents midway of the back stretch, gained a short lead at the final turn, but had too much taken out of him and tired. INFERNO LAD, badly outrun early, circled his field and closed gamely after making up a lot of ground. IN FRONT was unable to stay when challenged. INDIAN NEWS tired early and finished racing wide. DEARZIN followed close to the pace from the beginning, rallied strongly to take command in the clo«ine eighth, but bore over repeatedly on BUNGALOW approaching the finish and drew clear. He was disqualified for fouling. BlNGALOW was rushed through a narrow opening on the inside to take command entering the back stretch, continued eamely when overtaken, but was crowded into the fence in the last fifty vards and had to be pulled up. THREE DAGGERS responded willingly to enter a forward position and closr.l eamely under a hard drive. HOME WORK, permitted to drop back off the pace, came again and finished with good courage. WISHING STAR could not improve his position. IRISH VOTE was never dangerous. SASSAFRAS was done after three-quarters. AMERICAN BELLE suffered interference going into the back stret.h and would not extend herself. Scratched— 25477 Trumps, 102: 25666 Jim Brown, 112; 25517 Lone Miss, 102.
