J. P. HARDING RESIGNING j AS H0MEW00D PRESIDENT j Washington Park, one of Chicagos biggest and most popular tracks, will have a new president this year. John P. Harding, who has acted as president since the present syndicate of owners bought the track from the American Turf Association, will resign, it was learned definitely yesterday. He has intimated to friends that his business interests, to which he has added in recent months, prevent him giving any part of his time to his track duties. It was rumored that Walter Gregory, representative of the Palmer estate, will succeed Harding. When approached on the subject he stated that he was perfectly willing to take the position providing it was agreeable to the Palmers. There may be some sort of a reorganization of Washington Park, it was also rumored, but just what sort of reorganization it would be and whom it would affect was not learned. Harding, it is certain, will retain his present interest in the track.
