SUN ERIN raced to the front early, was saved while permitting SCRIP MONEY to go to the front in the back stretch and, again taking command after heading for home, had enough left to hold MOPECO. The latter, a slow beginner, dropped back early, but made a strong run in the last quarter and was gaining rapidly at the end; MISS KIEV showed much improvement over her recent effort and also finished .well. SCRIP MONEY raced wide around the first turn and, used up getting to the front of the winner, had little left. LITTLE URCHIN was shuffled back in the early stages. NOJOQUI broke slowly. CANNY SCOT sprinted to the front rounding the first turn to take a good lead, in the back stretch, was given a breathing spell rounding the stretch turn and had enough left to withstand the challenge of BRIM-FIELD. The latter saved ground under good riding and made a game challenge in the stretch, but was not good enough. ANCELOT contested the early leadership with CANNY SCOT, but tired in the stretch.
