HIS LUCKY EACE Those who attend the Deloraine Turf Clubs National Steeplechase can always expect their moneys worth of thrills and" and spills. This months meeting was no exception. Haramak, at 10 to 1, the only horse left standing out of a field of seven, won the two and one-quarter mile race by about a mile, while the 3-to-l favorite Sterling Chance, which had come to grief with the remainder, was remounted and covered the last round to gain second place, with its 50 prize money. At one stage four riderless horses were on the track. W. J. Southerwood, owner-trainer of Haramak, has had two lucky wins in that race. Seven years ago Miss Link was a long way back when all the horses in front fell and left her to canter home for I the money. Sydney Referee.
