McLENNAN DETROIT VISITOR DETROIT, Mich., June 1. Charles J. McLennan, who in company with Mrs. McLennan and Roy Dickerson, spent the weekend here en route to Chicago from Kentucky and Texas, stated that work of building the new mile and a sixteenth track at Arlington Downs is progressing rapidly. The track which will be a part of both the inner and outer tracks has been surveyed and needs only the top soil placed upon it. McLennan stated the. judges stand would be moved sixty-five feet up the track, which will give the horses a longer run to the lower turn. The stupendous task of wiring the plant for the totalizator is also under way and several changes are being made to the clubhouse. After attending the funeral of the late Benjamin Jacobs this morning, the party proceeded to Chicago.
