THE SHOOTER, a sharp factor from the start, easily overtook FIRST TIME in the stretch, then drew jOut to win with something in reserve. JABBERIE suffered interference at the start, raced between horses : when moving up on the turn and stood a drive gamely, though failing to menace the winner. PECOS, forced hack before reaching the turn, closed well in a good effort. NORMAN O. saved much ground and tired in the last eighth. MINDALO was timidly ridden. SAGEBRUSH lost much ground. KAIMASK, -on the outside throughout and under strong riding in the final three-eighths, tired after Svorking his way to the front, but stalled off SUN X. The latter showed the most speed from the start, stood mild pressure gamely in the final quarter and approached the finish in rather close quarters. HONORARY tired, but was best of the others. METAURUS, forced to race wide and a great distance back for a half mile, came with a rush after entering the stretch, where lie bore over and, tiring, appeared lucky to win. MARCH STEP displayed speed from the start, opened up a good lead in the stretch and, but for falling lame, might have withstood the winners challenge. CHERAW bettered his position gradually, but tired near the end. DROMBO was racing well when forced back entering the stretch. GRATTAN was in close quarters in the stretch and held on well. MACKS PAL had no mishaps." FLYING WATCH was racing strongly when blocked in the stretch. DOUBLE NUGGET had early speed. The latter raced wide and well ud from the start and held on with good courage under strong riding in the drive. PALAN finish- well in good effort. The latter, forced to lose much ground, was under strong pressure in the Final three-eighths, where he gained steadily, though failing to overtake the winner. TEDDY HASLAM also raced wide and, a strong factor after the first quarter, held on gamely in a good performance. JABER began slowly. WATERCURE tired after showing speed to the final three-sixteenths. BIRD FLOWER, forced back early, raced between horses in the stretch and, closing fast, wore down GYRAL in the final stride. The latter saved much ground and held on well in a good effort. RECOVERY showed the most early speed, swerved out slightly on the stretch turn and tired when straight. PATCHPOCKET raced wide and quit in the stretch.
