t DETROIT TURF NOTES Milton Sherbow, brother of Judge Sher-bow of Baltimore, arrived from his Maryland home and will remain here indefinitely as the guest of R. Emmett Potts, trainer of the Bomar stable horses. Jockeys agent Kelly, who has B. Guy-mons book, was fined 0 by the stewards for failure to keep his records straight in regard to the jockeys engagements. All jockeys agents were warned that no shifting of riders, in order to get better mounts, will be tolerated and they will be held to strict account for any engagements they make with horsemen. In a personal letter to director of racing Joseph A. Murphy, William Hurley, trainer of the western division of E. R. Bradleys stable, asked that the conditions of the Derby be sent him and also a book showing the conditions of races about the time the Derby would be run on June 13. The stable has four entries, Banister, Bow and Arrow, Bien Joli and Baby Talk, and there is no question but that out of the four Mrs. Hurley will have a starter. The Detroit racing association will offer nine races in the coming book for two-year-olds and if the response from horsemen is favorable after that, two races a day of this character will be run.
