SKY RHONDA broke from outside the gate, forced a fast pace, came to the outside of SANDVATO in the stretch and, closing gamely, wore down the leaders and was drawing away at the end. SANDVATO showed good speed, raced BILLY MOLE into the ground quickly, but was unable to draw clear, then held on well in the drive. LADY TICHNER, forced to race wide all the way, closed gamely in the stretch and was going well at the end. CUBAN BOY broke fast, but dropped back quickly "and lost much ground by racing wide. LIOLELE, well placed in the early running, tired in the last eighth; NUSAKAN was going well at the end. OVERSHOES raced well for five-eighths and pulled up slightly lame. JULIA IRENE, close to the early pace, came to the outside of the leader in the stretch and, holding on camcly under a long drive, outlasted SISTER IKIE. The latter, sent into a good lead in the first quarter mile, saved ground all the way, came on again after being headed by the winner and just failed to get up. ROYAL JULIAN, far back earlv, worked his wav up gradually and was coins fastest at the end. JODHPUR raced evenly. DISCOBOLUS quit badly. TEENY WEENY, under restraint for the first three-quarters, saved ground while making his move, came through on the inside when VAN HASTINGS raced wide and drew away in the final sixteenth. VAN HASTINGS, probably best, was sent into a long lead in the first five-eighths and lost ground entering the stretch, continued to bear out all through the final eighth and was tiring at the end. DUNDREARY lacked early speed, made up some ground in the last quarter and was going well at the end. CULLODEN, far back arly. finished well. LIGHTIN BILL quit. ULEADUS showed brief early speed.
