LADY PAL, rated back of the pace until midway of the stretch turn, easily came around the leaders to assume command with speed to spare. CURLING raced CANANA into submission after going five-eighths, but could not hold the winner off. CANANA, racing evenly all the way, had no excuses. WHO, showing good speed from the start, was reserved off the pace, raced into the lead after entering the stretch and went on to a handy win. MOLASSES BOB,- well back early, steadily gained under stout urging and outstayed DANARCO in the last few yards. The latter, in close "quarters midway of the stretch, came on well when clear. AQUARIAN broke slowly and made up some ground while racing on the outside. QUICK RELIEF, used up setting the early pace, quit badly when collared. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. SERENABIT larked early speed, gradually improved its position on the outside and t finished running gamely. ADAMS EVE quit after showing speed in the first half mile. PLAYOFF had no excuses. THE MILLAY raced MAPLh SUE into defeat in the first half mile, but was doing its best at the end to hold off SUNNY TOM. Die latter slipped through on the inside during the stretch run and finished with a belated rush. TAMBOV, under hard pressure at all times, raced slightly wide entering the stretch, then tired. RACE CRAFT forced to race on the outside most of the trip, closed resolutely to catch BALMACAN, but was under hard urging to ? SICKLE HOUR, racing just back of the pace until reaching the far turn, moved up on the outside of tha pacemaker, buf when RHODESIA commenced to bear out SICKLE HOURS rider took to the inside, saving ground and was going away at the finish. RHODESIA, going in its best form, set a fast pace, but commenced to tire and bore out at the stretch head, then came again. ST. CHRISTOPHER also held the others safe. RETRIBUTION could never get up. GOLDFIN trailed for seven-eighths, then passed the tirin THREE DAGGERS. The latter raced as if short. Overweight Goldfin. 3 pounds.
