! WOODBINE PARK NOTES :- s s Morris Fishman, former rider, purchased the useful sprinter Sandy Mack from J. U. Gratton. The transaction was private. R. S. Shelley, steward and racing secretary at Woodbine, departed after the last race on Saturday for Winnipeg. Shelley will return for the autumn meeting. Condition books for the spring meeting of the Long Branch Jockey Club were released and circulated among -the horsemen at Woodbine Park Saturday by racing secretary C. F. Henry. Charles F. Henry, who has been named to serve as racing secretary at the proposed meeting of thirty-six days to be staged at Thistle Down, near Cleveland, began working on the book of conditions and the stakes to be run at the Ohio plant. Henry stated that, under instructions of Jos. A. Murphy, who will serve as racing director and presiding steward, a stake will be run each Saturday during the meeting, which will take place July 7 and extend to August 15. Owing to suffering an injury to his leg when kicked by Royal Vintage when unsaddling the A. J. Sansone sprinter after the fourth race Friday, "jockey C. McTague was forced to cancel his engagement to ride E. F. Seagrams Stand Pat at Detroit Saturday. Jockey. J. Hunter, contract rider, was sent to the Motor City track to ride when McTague became incapacitated. For the convenience of horsemen remaining at Woodbine Park during the meeting of the Thorncliffe -Park Racing and Breeding Association, W. G. Kelly will be available at the secretarys office each morning to accept entries which will be relayed to J. P. Turner at the Leaside track. Van service is also being provided daily. The following stables are transferring their stock to Thorncliffe Park to await the opening Tuesday: J. E. Smallman, F. H. Schelke, W. G. Campbell, D. Garrity, C. S. Madison, Cosgrave Stable, M. Keeling, C. Smythe, Seagram Stable, J. U. Gratton, A. J. Halliwell, J. H. Black and G. Foley.
