! LATONIA TURF NOTES o The Old Gold Stables Transmutable was returned to Hawthorne Sunday night by trainer Otto Bagley, who says he will be campaigned during the remainder of that meeting. Jockey A. Fermin, who rode the gelding in the Quickstep Saturday, also returned to Chicago. Jockey Glen Fowler, who underwent an operation for tonsilitis some time ago, returned to the saddle Monday at Latonia. Fowler is a veteran and will do much of the riding for W. E. Smith, a member of the Kentucky Racing Commission. Johnny Daniels was an arrival from Louisville. He plans to remain for the balance of the week.
