HIGH TREASON had speed from the beginning, withstood early opposition from HANDY BAGGAGE, drew dear before reaching the far turn and, despite holding on willingly, was no match for the winner when challenged. ANNARITA, away fast, dropped back steadily and came a rush on the outside through the last eighth. FORTUNATE YOUTH, prominently placed, was unable to make up any ground Avhen called upon for the closing issue. HANDY BAGGAGE had speed for five-sixteenths AGA RAY was eased back rounding from the back stretch and can do better. Won driving; second and third the same. - SUN FIGHTER, forwardly placed all the way, wore down ENFIN for the load after leaving the back stretch, drew clear, surrendered the lead to BAIN MARIE, but came again in the closing strides. BAIN MARIE moved up fast on the outside nearing the stretch and, despite holding on determinedly, was unable to maintain her advantage under pressure. ENFIN was prominently placed throughout and held on well. NO DICE, under hard urging, could never reach the leaders. SOMALI away well, dropped back in the opening strides and was never prominent, though closing some ground in the last eighth.
