I DETROIT TURF NOTES ; Clarence E. Lehr, president of the Detroit Racing- Association and Fred M. Alger, Jr., vice-president, left tonight for Belmont Park where they will witness the running of the Belmont Stakes. While there, they hope to interest several owners in the renewal of the 5,000 added Detroit Derby, which will be run here Saturday, June 13. Fumble, which was recently purchased by the McCarthy Stable and was named for the St. Clair Stakes, went a handy half mile in :49. The son of Blind Play broke from the starting gate. A. J. Abel is considering sending several horses to Canada for the Long Branch meeting. Jockey J. Dunbar, who was tossed from Trahison, was in an ailing condition today and upon the advice of the track physician he cancelled his engagement on Panic Relief in the sixth race. Jockey J. Bryson will depart for Chicago after riding Blue Alice in the third race Friday. He will have the leg up on Yellow Tulip in the Juvenile Stakes on Saturday. Jockey Charles Parvin, was suspended for five days for not keeping his position during the run through the stretch in the first race.
