T DETROIT TURF NOTES $ and Ben Creech arrived from Latonia with the. horses Gilbert Elston, Virnoch, Brown Witch, Sweep Like, Bright Land and Sourdine, which he purchased at that point. William Kelley, custodian of the jockeys quarters has the valets dressed in polo shirts. Kelley purchased the shirts for the boys. Jockey W. Bradshaw, who recently arrived from Ohio had his first mount of the meeting on Honky Tonk in the second race, Thursday. Jockey J. Dunbar, who was tossed from Trahison when he brushed the inside rail in the seventh race Wednesday escaped without injury. Jockey E. Burns was set down for five days by the stewards for crowding his field at the first turn of the sixth race Wednesday.
