I ROCKINGHAM PARK NOTES o $ Conchita, four-year-old filly in the string of G. S. Preece, broke away from her lead pony during the workout session Wednes- day and was so badly injured jumping the fence that she had to be destroyed. Charlie Eye arrived here to join the jockey colony. His contract is held by Andy Schut-tinger, former jockey, and his book is being handled by Eddie Grogan. Jack Sharkey, former world heavyweight champion, is a frequent visitor at the Salem oval during the current meeting of the New Hampshire Jockey Club. Walter A. Carter arrived from New York with a half-dozen head. The shipment included Thursday, Hail, Tuxpan, Light Heeled, Transmuting and Cloidion. Thursday and Hail are the property of R. A. Moore, while the remaining members race for Mr. Carter. The string campaigned by W. J. Hirsch in New England will be augmented by five additional members that are en route from New York. Jockey C. Reid was suspended for five days for crossing over too sharply after the . break in the second race. The veteran plater, Brass Monkey, popular New England favorite in the string of Miss L. C. White, is being readied to run .here this week by John J. McKenna, who reports the Light Brigade gelding is full of run and ready to give his best race.
