" i j STRYCHNINE REACTION IN j SALIVA FROM METAURUS j The following statement was made by the Hawthorne stewards this afternoon: "A saliva test of the horse Mctaurus, winner of the third race on June 1, showing positive reaction to strychnine, the entry of this horse and all others in the stable of Mrs. S. Orr will not be accepted during the remainder of the current meeting of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association. "Trainer Sam Orr stands suspended, and his case is referred to the Illinois Racing Commission. Signed "C. J. FITZGERALD, "JULIUS G. REEDER, "C. W. HAY." Horses in the Orr stable include Metaurus, Unkie Tom, Orinoco, Doris B. and Cornelia Powell. Doris B. was ordered scratched from the second race Thursday, and Unkie Tom has been withdrawn from the second race for Friday.
