MICHIGAN LICENSES GRANTED DETROIT, Mich., June 4. Rhody Hanra-han, registrar for the Michigan Racing Commission, reports that 170 trainers have been granted licenses. Forty-six jockeys and sixteen apprentices are privileged to ply their trade in this state and there are fifty-five authorized stable agents. There are 220 different sets of colors to be handled by the sixteen licensed valets. Only four veterinarians are on the grounds, but there are 328 grooms, ninety-six exercise boys and fifteen stable foremen. Twenty-two jockey agents also are licensed. Hanrahan states the number of licenses grantedxis about the same as last year.
