0AKLAWN PARK TURF NOTES I S j R. L. "Bobby" Vedder, one of the ranking American riders, goes to Bowie, Md,, Sunday, where he will ride free lance during the Maryland season. Vedder will be accompanied by his father, who will make the riding engagements. The stable of racers that Dan Hardy is training for various owners will be shipped to the Fox Valley Jockey Club track at Aurora, 111., Monday, according to present arrangements. Tom Moran, timer at Oaklawn Park, will make his departure for Lexington Sunday and will remain in his native city until time to report to Beulah Park, where he will serve as custodian of the jockey quarters. Paul Keester, veteran reinsman, will leave for his home in Dayton, Ky., Sunday, where he will rest up until the opening of River Downs. Jerry McNally, agent for Keester, will accompany the rider on the vacation. William Hamilton, presiding steward, will leave for Louisville Sunday, where he will confer with Col. Matt Winn regarding the Churchill Downs session, then goes to Keene-land, where he will serve as starter during the fourteen-day session. Frank Orr traded Colored Chimes to Reynolds Brothers for Wasp Nest. Jockey Charlie Ralls has been employed by J. B. Respess and will do the riding for that stable during the Kentucky season. F. G. Orr and F. Oden announced their intention of shipping to River Downs, which gets under way May 4. Jockey R. L. Vedder, one of the leading jockeys of the country, departed Saturday night for Maryland, where he expects to ride during the Maryland season. A. Hullcoat and G. H. Pearce left Saturday for Bowie. A. Lamoreaux will get away Monday for Suffolk Downs with the stable of Mrs. C. C. Winters.
