ODD BLUE, rated, off the pace, responded readily when put to pressure and, disposing of EASY SAILING in the last eighth, drew clear in the last sixteenth. EASY SAILING, close up from the start and under strong handling, finished in courageous fashion, but was no match for the winner. BRIGHT AND EARLY broke swiftly, set a good pace to the final eighth, then tired. SQUAW LADY was forced wide while working her way up and tired. SECOND GUESS dropped back soon after the .start. NATIONS TASTE raced prominently for the entire trip and held on with good courage in the drive. CARDINALIS could not keep up. SOUTHLAND BEAU dropped back soon after the start, raced wide while improving his position and closed strongly. TRANSVIEW was always outrun. Scratched 55961 Glenpool, 99. THE QUEEN, poorly handled, lost considerable ground on the stretch turn and closed strongly. PRINCE TORCH, never far out of it and saving ground throughout, showed a good effort. TEDDY HASLAM was much used forcing the pace and tired in the final quarter. SIR MIDAS was in close quarters during the final three-sixteenths. TOP DOG set a swift pace and tired. CHANDLER, in close quarters going to the first turn, was taken up sharply, saved ground while working his way up and finished strongly. ELOOTO was hard hustled for the entire trip. DOLLY VAL tired under extreme pressure. FENG followed in closest pursuit -of the leaders for three:quarters, then gave way. DON MOSS quit after showing brief early speed.
