SERIOUS CALIENTE ACCIDENT I Black Miss and Rock Leven . Destroyed After Bad Fall in Contest at Border Course. . AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, April 2. The first serious accident at the current meeting occurred during the running of the fifth race Friday when Black Miss fell entering the stretch, causing Lone Cloud, which was dropping back, to stumble over her and lose her rider. Black Miss was closing fast on the inside on the: far turn when she evidently crossed her legs, and when she tried to get up it was found that she had broken her left foreleg at the knee. Black Miss was destroyed j immediately. Lone Cloud suffered no harm. Jockeys G. Burns and O. Webster, who were astride Black Miss and Lone Cloud, escaped injury and rode but their mounts. Rock Leven, which finished third in the race, closed with a rush in the final quarter, seemed to stumble right at the wire and was pulled up sharply. After an examination it was found that Rock Leven had broken his right front ankle and he was destroyed soon after the race. Jockey A. Cimpanelli was suspended for five days for rough riding aboard Brown-eyed Pat in the second race Friday.
