CHANGE NAME OF HANDICAP Agua Caliente Management Will Act as Host to Grooms Name Race in Their Honor., AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, April 2. Sundays feature race, which was originally named the Long Beach Handicap, has been changed and will now carry the name Alpha Zeta Beta Handicap to honor the national sorority which is holding its annual convention in San Diego. The Agua Caliente Turf Club has extended an invitation for the fair members to be their guests for the ten-race program Sunday. The new president of the sorority and her court will be guests of the stewards for the running of the Alpha Zeta Beta Handicap and will crown the winner. Second feature for the Sabbath card is the Grooms Claiming Purse, which is to honor all those who have the care of thoroughbreds stabled on the back stretch. This race is at one mile and seventy yards and has a purse of 00. The grooms will have their charges all spruced up for the running of their race. j President Eugene Normile will climax the Sunday program with a banquet at the tracks social hall for the men behind the scenes of racing, in which only men who work in the stable area are invited. A big program has been arranged by the management, with .contests that have valuable prizes for the winners. President Normile and his staff will act as hosts to the grooms.
