RIVER DOWNS STALLS TAKEN Enough Stable Reservations on Hand to Fill Every Stall. Unusual Number of Juveniles to Be Shipped to Cincinnati Track for Coming Meeting. CINCINNATI, Ohio, April 16. Enough thoroughbreds to fill every available stall at River Downs are assured for the coming spring meeting, which opens Wednesday, May 4 and continues for twenty-three days through Decoration Day, May 30. Nearly all of the big stables include more than the usual number of two-year-olds this spring, and that is one of the main reasons why track superintendent J. O. Brown is having a difficult time trying to find stall room for all of the owners who have requested stabling accommodations. It is evident that the stable of Smith Baker will make a strong bid for a good share of the 30,700 purse money which will be offered to horsemen during the meeting. Baker has applied for stall reservations for eighteen horses, six of which are two-year-olds that have not been to the post. Some of Bakers most capable performers are Yantis, Ginocchio, Decourcy, Janice and Kentucky Jane. The names of the two-year-olds are Black Bass, Broadus, Helen Mac, Litton Hickman McAllister and Norkie. Jockey Frank Grill, who rode with much success on the Ohio-Detroit circuit last year, will do the riding for the Baker outfit this season. ZEVSON EXPECTED SOON. Mrs. F. Bartletts Zevson, which ran second to the great War Admiral in the Widener Handicap at Hialeah Park six weeks ago, and champion handicap horse of t?.e New Orleans meeting, is being shipped to the Downs by trainer J. Baumbach. Zevson is one of the most consistent handicap horses in the country and he is expected to be one of the leading contestants for the various stakes to be decided during the meeting. The fleet sprinter, Dora May, which is owned by Gus Simone, will be shipped to the Downs in the near future and she is expected to start in the ,000 added Inaug-, ural Handicap, which will feature the open- ing program. Aldrich and Winan have a formidable stable on the grounds in Sky Lad, Hickory Lad, Night Editor and Mighty Quick. Sky Lad and Hickory Lad each won four races during the winter season at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans. POWERFUL ESTABLISHMENT. The Oddesa Farms stable, which raced with j much success at Miami and Oaklawn Park, will campaign a powerful string of thoroughbreds at River Downs this spring. Other prominent establishments which will participate in the meeting are: H. Tor-riente, Rockhome Stable, J. C. Ellis, Jack Lane, J. R. Clayman, Peacock Stable, W. E. Ball, Joseph Schmidt, C. R. Allen, E. B. Carpenter, Fishburn Stable, C. E. Dale, T. D. , Buhl, Mrs. R. O. Burns, H. D. King, J. C. j Metz, Reynolds Brothers, Mrs. Dattner, Otto B. Johr, C. W.
