UALLNO outran his field to the first turn, was rated along under steadying restraint, responded when urged entering the stretch and shook off opposition to draw away at the finish. STEEPLETOP improved his position steadily in the run through the back stretch and made a determined bid when placed under pressure, but could not overhaul the winner. SOMALI was in nearest pursuit of the early pace, responded to pressure in the stretch and held on well. MONEY MUDDLE raced evenly and had no mishaps. Won driving; second and third the same. GALAGAL overcame early interference while on the inside, improved her position when straightened out rounding the far turn and finished courageously. CITADEL was a forward factor throughout and raced SWING TIME into defeat, then held on well. MOLLIE SWAIN improved her position steadily on the inside and outlasted GULF BREEZE in the final drive. The latter improved her position steadily from a slow beginning, came to the outside and finished with a rush. SWING TIME showed early speed, but faltered. ST. ANNA quit badly in the final eighth. SWEET ADELINE, fractious at the post, was away slowly. WHITE FAN began slowly. RIGHT LADY also broke slowly. GALCREST was as good as left. POLLY JO had no mishaps. MISS AFA lacked speed. FAMILY FRIEND improved his position slowly under urging and outlasted ENCORE. The latter, close up from the -start, quit in the final eighth. PHARABOO had no mishaps. Ell CHICO slipped through after the start and drew into a safe lead, was rated along under steadying restraint until reaching the stretch, where he was roused to shake off WISE SHINE, and then drew away to the finish, though bearing out slightly. JACK HORNER was shuffled back early, improved his position steadily and finished with determination. WISE SHINE, in nearest pursuit of the early pace, came through on the inside entering the stretch, but hung in the final strides. MODERN YOUTH raced greenly, but finished courageously. KING COTTON closed some ground. MEDRANO was bumped at the far turn and raced greenly thereafter. GINO REX showed a flash of early speed. NIGHT TIDE was outrun. FIFTH RACE 3-4 MILE. SNARK handled his weight well and was restrained off the early pace, moved up with a rush nearing the stretch turn, responded to urging in the final eighth, shook off opposition and drew away. ROLLIN HOME forced a fast early pace, disposed of DRUDGERY in the early running, but was bearing out slightly near the finish. CLODION was outrun early, worked his way up entering the stretch and finished well. WISE PRINCE closed well under urging. DRUDGERY showed early speed, but quit in the stretch run. GREY GOLD unseated his rider while at the post and ran away a mile and one-quarter, was placed outside the stalls for the start and was fractious. RUDIE, fractious at the post, broke fast and was not persevered with when he quit. INFANTRY was outrun in the early stages, but passed tired horses toward the finish. Overweight Drudgery, 1 pounds. The latter was taken in hand when outrun, worked his way up steadily and came to the outside rounding the stretch, then made a determined bid when straightened out, but hung in the final seventy yards. PASTRY, fractious at the post, broke from outside the stalls and outlasted BULWARK in the final drive. The latter was sent into command with a rush, was rated along steadily while saving ground, but faltered when caught and tired steadily thereafter.
