1 HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES Fred Malley purchased for his own account Georgia R. and Miss Malter from J. B. Belk, well-known breeder of Charlottesville, Va. Terms for the purchase were private. V. P. Noyes registered Wickliffe Boy, Twilight Star, Ruth Lerner and Pete ODonnell with the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association. Edward Brennan, who will serve as racing secretary at several leading tracks this season, left late Thursday night for New York on a business mission. M. C. Shea, who will serve in an official capactiy at Middleburg, Va., for the two-day hunt meeting at that point on Saturday and Wednesday left here late Friday. William Campbell, a member of H. M. Stevens, Inc., who suffered face lacerations in an automibilc accident returning from Miami, was back on duty Friday. Peter A. Markey, part owner of the Bomar Stable and a group of friends, came from Detroit to witness the performance of Billmar Derby hope, which performed successfully in the second race. Billmar is likely to uphold honors for the stable in the Kentucky classic, for which he will be pointed along with Benjam, another eligible. William Gillespie, agent for the Millsdale Stable, joined the list of benedicts when he was joined in matrimony at Alexandria, Va., on Thursday. He was married to Miss Margaret Treatorex of Washington, D. C. Jockey Johnny Tlongden deserted New York coming from Gotham to ride Edwood Sachsenmaiers undefeated two-year-old filly Charlotte Girl in the Aberdeen Stakes. Jockey Charles Corbett left for Jamaica after the final race at Havre de Grace Friday to ride Infantry, a member of the Millsdale Stable Saturday. Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, vice-president of the Maryland Jockey Club, was a visitor at Havre deGrace for the opening, .coming from Philadelphia, where he visited with Samuel D. Riddle. J. H. Stotler, trainer of the A. G. Vanderbilt stable, reported the arrival of a filly foal Thursday at Sagamore Farm. The newcomer is by Discovery from Hindu Queen. On Wednesday another youngster was added to the crop this year, marking the thirty-first foal when a colt by Gallant Fox Can-fli was born.
