FIGHTING FOX MILE WORKOUT Woodward Derby Hope Runs Distance in 1:42, Easily Wood Memorial First Objective. JAMAICA, N. T., April 16. William Woodwards Fighting Fox continued his march toward the Kentucky Derby this morning when he was sent along for a handy mile in 1:42 at Aqueduct. In company with Madero, the brother of Gallant Fox was full of run all the way. He went the first half mile in :48, six furlongs in 1:14, seven furlongs in 1:27 and was never really extended as he completed the mile in 1:42. All of the training of the son of Sir Galla-had HI. Marguerite would indicate that he will be fit and ready for the 0,000 Wood Memorial, which will doubtless be his first big objective. He has been doing all that Fitzsimmons has asked him magnificently and since being returned to training has missed no works. Madero, which accompanied the stable hope in his work, completed his mile in 1:44 and, like his more illustrious stablemate, is not far from a race.
