SNARK GIVEN TOP WEIGHT Wheatley Stables Star Sprinter Assigned 134 Pounds for Baltimore Spring Handicap at Pimlico. BALTIMORE, Md., April 28. Wheatley Stables Snark has been assigned 134 pounds, top weight in the Baltimore Spring Handicap, ,500 added feature marking the opening of Pimlicos "stake a day" meeting next Monday. Howard Bruces Jay Jay is next with 125 pounds and Felix Spatolas Wise Prince, winner of the first renewal of the stake in 1935, is third with an assignment of 121 pounds. Clingendaal, the A. C. Compton sprinter which has yet to make his eastern appearance this year, has been assigned 121 pounds, while Alvin Untermyers Scintillator and Hal Price Headleys Preeminent are equally weighted at 120 pounds. Thomas J. Healeys Black Look is burdened with 116 pounds and the second Wheatley nomination, Merry Lassie, winner of the Jamaica feature last Saturday, defeating the Kilmer Derby and Preakness hope, Nedayr, was given 114 pounds by handicapper Charles J. McLennan. The Maryland Jockey Clubs inaugural stake attracted a total of thirty nominations.
