ILLINOIS HIGHWAYS SAFER According to Ernst Lieberman, chief highway engineer, motor travel on Illinois highways is becoming safer. He announced a 50 per cent decrease in automobile fatalities in the state last month as compared with a year ago. Four hundred and fifty-five deaths reported over the state for the first three months of this year, as compared with 603 during the same period of time in 1937.
