1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES T $ . : - In addition to the Kentucky Derby eligible Pepper, Henry McGarvey also is training Susie Bell, Capt. Henry and Colonel Jim. Pepper and Susie Bell, a two-year-old, are owned by J." S. Hawkins, while Capt. Henry and Colonel Jim are the property of P. Keoppas. . The only horse Phil Reilly has at this time is the five-year-old mare Distractible, but Reilly expects to acquire several additional horses before long. Teh liorses make "up the, stable Carl Sit-r graves will campaign through the Churchill Downs season. Those which are to carry the Montell Farm colors of Bert and Montell Stewart are Stormy Ocean, Tomye, Montell, Hour Zey, Real Sport and Toney Boy, while those Sitgrave has for Robert Dunston are Hum, Cain, Metropole and Regards. Baby Sis and Sleep Out, owned by Mrs. R. A. Shaw, and EI Juez, a two-year-old owned by Mrs. R. R. Russell, are the three horses which A. M. jacobus has for racing here. Also coming from Lexington are Sam Mc-Pherson with the sprinter Chanting and Charles Grayson with Brush Handle and Jockeb. The latter is a two-year-old gelding by Jock and Ebie. Ten horses are in the stable which J. D. Stevens is bringing to the Downs from Keeneland. The older horses in the establishment are Split Silk, Indian Silk, More Ringlets and Gladsome, while the two-year-olds are Bright, Heel Dust, Eyenock, Try Em, Veer and Disrupt. W. B. Fogarty and E. M. Fishback own More Ringlets, while the other horses are the property of Jack D. and Joe Rogers. Mrs. W. S. Billings, of Enid, Okla., a newcomer to racing, will begin the. Churchill Downs season with one horse, Boos Double, a four-year-old -which she purchased at New Orleans from J. S. Jones. The horse has been turned over to Milo Thompson to train. W. Jl. Anderson will campaign eight horses through the local meeting for R. E. Plem-mons, of Providence, Ky. Besides the older Through Fairly and Glove, Anderson is training six juveniles for the Providence patron. The youngsters have been named Miss Diamond, Hidden Haste, Miss Charlotte, Sang Stee, Miss Vep and Ann Gib. Mimical, a bay colt by Mirafel and Whimsical Miss, and Shama Thrush a chestnut colt by Greenock and Betty Beau, both two-year-olds, are the horses J. Sinnott is training for J. B. Brooks. William Stock, Thursday, registered the horses he will race here for F. H. Carpenter. They are Balaath, Capitalist, Cross Ruff, Merry Go Round, Rigorous and Overplay. George A. Ury may introduce a new rider to racing soon. The youngster is John Edward Keegan, 20, of New York City. Ury has five horses here for Milton Moskowitz. The colors of George M. Hendrie will be carried at Churchill Downs by the horses Ridge, Poona, Jacquella, Storm Lass, Santan, Dark Queen, Joss Stick and Leven Miss, the last three two-year-olds. The horses are being trained by John C. Shea. Absconder, Presidential and Little Doggie are the three horses which Fred A. Ross is conditioning for Sam W. Block.
