1 JAMAICA TURF NOTES Walter Carter will ship Piccolo to Havre de Grace to start in the Philadelphia Handicap. He will be ridden by jockey S. Young. K. T. Dawes, of Montreal, arrived for the week-end. He reported that Jesting would be bred to Marine, a son of Man o War that is standing at R. S. McLaughlins Oshawa, Ont., Farm. The Dawes horses are at Woodbine in charge of trainer Giddings. Fighting Fox, the Belair Studs candidate for the Kentucky Derby, will be shipped to Louisville on Sunday morning. The colt will be started in the Wood Memorial and entrain the following morning. Fighting Fox will be accompanied by a lead pony. Jockey J. Stout will leave later in the week to gallop the colt in his final trial. Ridley Allen arrived from Miami and is on the lookout for a few horses to race this summer. The second half of the condition book for Jamaica was issued to horsemen here. T. J. Healey arrived from Miami where he rested up following the conclusion of racing in that sector. Jockey J. Gilbert will leave for Havre de Grace on Friday to ride Tatterdemalion on Saturday. Gilbert will return after the race and the horse will be shipped back on Sunday. T. J. Kermath will leave for Los Angeles on Sunday to take over the horses he has in training there.
