APPROVE NAVY FUND WASHINGTON, D. C, April 28. The stamp of approval was granted the record peace-time appropriation of 46,866,494 to finance the navy for the next fiscal year by President Roosevelt yesterday. Funds to start work on two new battleships, two cruisers, eight destroyers, six submarines and one mine sweeper were included in the measure. It also provided cash to continue navy work now in progress.
