THE QUEEX began to move up when racing wide on the final turn, the-held on well through the stretch, but did not menace the winner. MISS SAXOX saved much ground dropped back slightly on the turn, but closed evenly under slight urging. MAPLE RICCA tired. CHAXC! BRILLIAXT ROSE badl outrun for five-eighths, improved her position fast thereafter while racing wide and, finishing stoutly w getting to the winner. MOTTLED, well up and in hand for three quarters, saved ground wberevc possible, moved up well approaching the last eighth and held on fairly well. CROSS RUFF forced the par under steadying restraint, was placed to pressure on the second turn and tired in the drive MATURE tire after five eighths. DIXIE BOOT pulled up lame.
