I SUFFOLK DOWNS NOTES T1 4 3 Charley Stevenson reported sick to the clerk of scales and canceled his riding en-i gagements for Friday. W. E. Fox has arranged to ship Clever Girl and Bertillon and one other to Agawam Park to await the opening of the Springfield meeting. Frank Andolino will send a division of his string to the same point. Mose Shapoff and his son Skippy arrived with three head. Mose had the Le Mar Stock Farm horses in New England last year. Earl T. Waters, under contract to B. N. Kane of Providence, accepted his first mount of the meeting astride Blue Donna in tha first race. Matt Smart arrived with four additional ■ head from New York. His son Raymond has been on the grounds here since the first arrivals of the Smart string over a week ago. Willie Yarberry, apprentice, scored his first victory when he won on Herondas Thursday. Jockey Johnny Longden will come up from New York to ride Teufel in the Puritan Handicap Saturday. Jockey Nick Wall is expected to ride W. A. . Carters Clodion in the Puritan Handicap. He will come from New York. Wall, leading light weight rider in the country, is a Bostonian. . ■ • •
