DARK SEEKER, strongly ridden and forced to race wide throughout, gradually improved her position after the first three sixteenths, slowly wore down RIPPLEALONG and, ridden out, came away fast in the final sixteenth. RIPPLEALONG took command with rush, steadied a was around the turn and held on with good courage to the last sixteenth, when he tired. BRANDON PRINCE saved ground and closed willingly in a good performance. DR. MENENDEZ received a hustling ride, save ground on the turn, but tired in the late stages. EMIR had no mishaps. BIENCHANCE. close up from the start, took command as BLUE STAR ran out on the stretch turn, was under strong urging while opening up a commanding lead approaching the final eighth and held sway thereafter. BLUE STAR, probably much the best, was racing in front when he ran out badly on the stretch turn, continued to race wide while making up ground in the stretch and tired in the late stages, but outstayed BUTTONS B. The latter, away well but unable to keep up, moved up boldly soon after reaching the stretch but tired badly. SHAWANA had speed from the start, was eased a trifle to escape being carried out by BLUE STAR on the final turn, but failed to keep up in the stretch. MANIE OHARA, away slowly and kept on the inside while steadily improving her position for a half mile, rallied to strong urging after coming out in the stretch and, wearing down FROZEN MASK, drew out with little left. The latter had good speed from the start, easily increased its advantage when approaching the stretch and held on under energetic riding in the last quarter, but was not good enough. ETHEI MONT away slowly and badly outrun to the stretch, came with good speed thereafter "and outfinished CHUBBINs The latter was under pressure from the start and began to falter after about five eighths SINK OR SWIM never threatened from a slow beo-inmn?.
