QUICK CLOUD improved her position after going half the distance to come to the outside of KLUANI when straightened out for home and, wearing her down slowly, won under urging. KLUANI showed good early speed and drew away from the field when ready, but bore out in the stretch and could not resist the winner. SUSPENSION, taken back in the early part to permit MAM LINDY to make the pace, came to tha outside when ready in the stretch and easily forged to the front to win in hand. GABBO closed considerable ground in the last quarter while hugginc the rail. PAN FULL was going gamely under urging at the finish. MAM LINDY was used up making the pace and tired in the stretch. POMPOUS GENIE closed some ground in the stretch, but did not seriously threaten the first two. ZOR, a strong contender from the start, drew out slightly after entering the stretch, but tired near the end and was forced to the utmost to hold CURIOUS safe. The latter was well up from the start while saving ground and, continuing next to the rail, came again near the end and might have won but for being in close quarters on the inside of the winner in the last sixteenth. BROAD WINK, probably best, had a rough trip and may need a stronger rider. SWEET BETTY was outrun to the stretch, then closed some ground. PATOU BOW and GAMELON were with the leaders to the stretch, then tired. POMPETE raced wide, but showed a creditable effort. RIBALD was weakly handled. GAUL bore out badly on the first turn. CLOUDY WEATHER, closest to BATTLE CALL in the early part, continued gamely, although racing through the middle of the track in the stretch and got up to win in the last few strides. BATTLE CALL was under restraint while making the pace and, saving ground, raced well to the end. FOAM held third place safe throughout and never seriously threatened the first two. BUNNY MARTIN closed well. MIDWICK had early speed. AMNERIS, forced to race wide in the earlv stages, was never a serious contender. DEER FLY was going well at the end. EURIPIDES, outrun early, came to the outside in the stretch to finish very fast in the middle of the track and won narrowly in a drive. PATROLITE, well up from the start; took a clear lead in the stretch and gamely withstood a challenge from CALAVERAS near the end. CALAVERAS came very fast to find an opening in the stretch and loomed as a likely winner nearing the end, but seemed to falter a trifle a few yards from the finish. LAME DUCK, a trailer in the early stages, closed much ground. HIS GIRL and DENBIGH tired in the stretch. SIR RIDGWAY raced very widem the stretch turn. AUXILIARY was in close quarters early. ALLANWOOD swerved into the fence nearing the stretch turn, stumbled and his rider kicked his feet out of the stirrups. Scratched 68861 Silver Sarah, 110.
