1 GELDING KARKIE DROPS DEAD SHREVEPORT, La., Nov. 16. The four-year-old chestnut gelding, Karkie, dropped dead during the running of the first race here today. Apprentice G. D. Cameron, who was astride Karkie escaped uninjured.
