DUKE OF WINDSORS REFUSAL PARIS, France, Nov. 16 The Duke of Windsor has refused to go to England for Christmas or at any time unless his American-born duchess is recognized as royalty, persons in the Windsor entourage declared today. The duke and duchess, it was declared, will spend Christmas in Paris or on the French Riviera. From the same source is was learned that the duke and duchess had been asked by the Duke of Gloucester on the latters recent visit here to go to Sandringham for Christmas at the request of Queen Mary, who misses her favorite son. The duke replied, as he has insisted for two years, that he will not return to England until the duchess is recognized as her royal highness, the same as the wives of his brothers.
