NEW ORLEANS TURF NOTES ; . C. Ernie Myatt was an arrival from Cincinnati, stopping off for a day at Shreveport. Myatt will have jockey Melvin Calverts book during the Fair Grounds meeting. Calvert is due here next week from Texas, where he is on a hunting trip. Norman Le Blanc, who is training for F. J. Demarys Boarder Farm stable, shipped three yearlings back to the farm at Orange, Texas, and received five older horses which were being rested. New arrivals are Wacky Jack, Royal Harmony, Vintage, Liyanna and Sweet Tokalon. Demary, formerly a resident of Abbeville, La., now makes his home at Beumont, Texas. Daria and Miss Wade make up the J. L. Hogan stable, which has been here about a week. The veteran trainer, T. J. Killion, brought his stable in from Louisville. Among the group Killion shipped here are Rettef, Ethels Choice, Lucky Star and Blue Tracer. Jockey J. Chestnut came along with the horses. Charles Mullaney, pony boy at the local track, was an arrival from Shreveport. The useful stable of W. E. Ball, who does his own training, was registered Tuesday morning. In the string are Boon Time, Cherokee Red, Mandas Baby, Frost Bite and Frank C. Bob Warren, former owner and trainer, who also acted as agent for Clarence Davison at the last Fair Grounds meeting, was an arrival from Pimlico.
