I SANTA ANITA TURF NOTES t : Among the arrivals recently were a division of the Gillespie Land and Irrigation stable in charge of trainer W. D. Buck. There were six in the consignment, which consisted of Sky Grenade, Sky Lanty, Sky Comet, Sky Girl and Risoto, which race for the Arizona establishment. Buck is also directing the training of Chilnore, colorbear-er for R. E. Armstrong. H. "Pete" Weiss, manager of the gate guards at Santa Anita also serves as supervisor of stabling the horses. The other day he housed fifteen carloads of horses in the short space of two hours and a half. Weiss reports the stall room is nearing exhaustion. Only those who have reservations will obtain stabling room. Jockey Danny Brammer, who is under call to H. C. Hatch, has signed with C. M. Wil-lock, giving the Pasadena owner second call on his services for the Santa Anita season. Before leaving Tanforan for Santa Anita, trainer Earl H. Beezley sent the horses Dad Butler and Sassafras to Agua Caliente, where they will be delivered to F. E. Childs. George Burke, veteran jockey and stable agent, is back for another season at Santa Anita. Burke will be a rather busy man during the season here for, aside from acting as agent for the J. H. Whitney, Green-tree, Manhasset and William Zeigler stables, he will also book the engagements for jockeys R. "Sonny" Workman, Nick Wall and F. Scheih.
