!SANTA ANITA TURF NOTES 4, : e , Trainer W. Osborne, who is conditioning twenty head for C. .M. Willock, is negotiating ; for more horses and if the deal which is i , pending materializes, he will have three : more performers before the opening of the I Santa Anita meeting. The horses involved . j in the transaction are: Jeffs Pride, which I won the feature race at Agua Caliente last SuriOay; Brown Whisk, a two-year-old and one other prospect by Rolls Royce. Table Stakes, which raced so successfully I for C. M. Willock, will be retired to the stud. The son of Valorous and Sister Joan will be sent to Liberty Ranch, where he will hold court, and one of his first matrons will be ! the filly Scarlet Cream, which failed to withstand the rigid routine of training, and is retired at the tender age of two. Plucky Jack, Heroique and Scots Guard are other members of the Willock string, which will be inactive for the winter. The trio were sent to Liberty Ranch to rest until spring. F. E. "Smiling" Frank FitzGerald has assembled a rather formidable stable for the Santa Anita season and at this time has nine capable performers under his direction. For Neil S. McCarthy, prominent Los Angeles attorney he is training Morning Breeze, Dear Diary arid Avalona. "or Lou Rowan, Enoch Borland and Dont Forget and himself he will have Mark Hellinger, Enlo, Kitty Kee and Infinite Lady. Apprentice Victor Bovine is under contract to FitzGerald. Basil Smith, who books the mounts for jockey M. L. Fallon, reports the young Kentucky reinsman has. given the R. C. Stable first call on his services for the Santa Anita meeting. The horses of Binglin Stable maintained by Lin Howard and Bing Crosby were unloaded Tuesday afternoon. The stable headed by the celebrated Ligaroti, had an uneventful trip from Tanforan. Ligaroti was the cynosure of all eyes as the horses were led from their stalls in the express car and he looked none the worse for his gruelling test of Saturday in which Specify gained victory over him in the San Francisco Handicap.
