IRISH KIDNAP PLOT DISCLOSED BELFAST, Ireland, Dec. 22. A widespread Irish republican army plot to kidnap promi- I hent leaders of Northern Island was disclosed today in an official communique. Thirty-four leading members of the I. R. A. have already been taken into custody. The ! men were rounded up during the night in a j I series of sweeping raids in various sections of the city. A large force of police was engaged. Search of suspected houses continued today. The I. R. A. was banned some time ago following a long series of disorders and clashes with constituted authorities. The men under arrest will be held without trial under a special law for the protection of the state. During the raids the police seized large quantities of documents and other literature declared by authorities to show that the I. R. A. men planned attacks on the House of Parliament, law courts, police headquarters, Customs House and city hall.
