RESPECTS MEMELSI INTEGRITY LONDON, England, Dec. 22. Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain revealed today in the House of Commons that German Chancellor Adolf Hitler had given him assurances that the territorial integrity of Memel will be respected so long as Lithuania fulfills its treaty obligations. Answering a question put by Geoffrey Mander, Liberal, the Prime Min-I ister declared: "Herr Hitler informed me at Berchtsgaden that he would be glad to i leave Memeland as it was so long as the j statute is observed by the Lithuanian govern-ment." The statute adopted in 1924 with an international guarantee, made the Lithuan-i ian a semi-autonomous region.
