1 TANFORAN TURF NOTES Irving Cummings, well known motion picture producer, was a visitor at Tanforan Thursday, as was Roscoe Karns, featured actor and horse enthusiast. F. Baumann has been engaged to train Frisco Boy, Toro Play and Marguerite L. for L. Grana. Cardarrone was ordered withdrawn from the fourth race Friday because of soreness. Dr. Spoon and Elinor D. P. were placed on the stewards list for the same reason. Show-abal and Deer Fly were added to the schooling list. - N. H. Basin, San Mateo business man, has a number of two-year-olds at Bay Meadows. Two are by The Okah, one by Halud and the fourth by Sweepster. Three are named for members of the Basin family, being called Ida B., Reba B. and Stanley B., while the fourth is named Star Point. 1
