WULFSTAN, showing his best form, sprinted into a clear lead going to the first turn, set a fast pace while being rated nicely, saved eround and had enough in reserve to withstand KINDRED SPIRIT. The latter raced forwardly under steady pressure, made several bids, but could not menace the winner. BROADWAY JUEL, lacking early speed, settled in stride and closed with a rush in the last half mile. FAR CRY, beginning slowly, worked his way forward gradually in the latest stages. FLYING LANCE, badly outrun most of the way, finished with a belated rush. ERUPTION, racing in spots, was unable to menace. ON-CAVE was forced wide for the entire trip. MOUJIK, well up for seven-eighths, tired under punishment. MANEUVER was held safe. HALLIES PLAY weakened early.
