ARMSTRONG INi INiQUEST QUEST OF NINE MARES FOR HIS TEXAS FARM FARMSEAGRAVES SEAGRAVES Texas June 14 Letalone by Chicle out of Margin by All Gold which h s been standing at Walter Boothes Sweet water Stock Farm and which originally was a Whitney sire recently was transferred to C M Armstrongs establishment at Sea graves where he will stand Some of the Chicle sires twoyearolds are showing win ¬ ning ways and his crop of yearlings many of which are scattered in north TexaSj are promising His 1941 foals look good goodArmstrong Armstrong who acquired a few mares re ¬ cently is about to complete a deal whereby he will add nine young matrons to his hold ¬ ings Associated with him in this venture which has been brewing for some time is J Sartin his business associate at Seagraves who also is a large landowner in west Texas Among the mares in the proposed deal is Blue Boot famour Boot to Boot Blue Eyed Peggie mare which figured in a ringing case on the West Coast some years ago Other mares are Lady Zoya full sister to several winners by Prisoner and one of Mor vichs best known daughters daughtersShould Should the deal eventuate Armstrong and Sartin plan to build a large brood mare barn at the headquarters ranch at Seagraves and construct a dozen well fenced paddocks for grazing grazingKerry Kerry Ways pride of Armstrongs brood mare colony which foaled twin horse colts which died to Greenock is now at Col R B ¬ Georges Glad Acres Stock Farm Dallas where she was returned to Greenock for 1942 foaling This mare by Kilkerry out of Irish Ways by John O Gaunt will be returned to Seagraves at the end of the month when she should be safely in foal to the son of The Porter
