Whirl a way Tops Equipoise Mile Field; Market Wise Has Big Aqueduct Task Faces Greeatree Trio Over Mile and Quarter Distance — Four in Great American AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. In addition to the Brooklyn, the weekend arrangement of eight events also promises a spirited skirmish among George Wideners Lucky Draw and three lighter-burdened rivals in the Great American, which tests these kindergarteners at six furlongs and provides a purse of ,000 added. Turf enthusiasists in New England and Chicago will be unusually interested in the result of this Brooklyn for the reason that several of the entrants in this all-star cast also are regarded hopefully as probables for the 0,000 Massachusetts Handicap and 0,000 Stars and Stripes on "the glorious fifth" of July. Trainer Gaver also has named Devil Diver and The Rhymer, so that if the going is wet and Shut Out, who prefers to hear his hoofs rattle, is withdrawn, then he still may saddle the favorites. Devil Diver has the Toboggan, Metropolitan and Carter Handicaps to his credit, while The Rhymer captured the Queens County. Market Wise will shoulder the top weight of 128 pounds in this Brooklyn, with hand-icapper Jack Campbell estimating Shut Out at 124, Devil Diver 123 and Attention 121. The imposts then scale down rather abruptly to 113 on Don Bingo, hero of the Suburban, 112 apiece on Mioland, Boysy and The Rhymer. 110 on the queenly Vagrancy, 109 on Pictors withers, 104 each Continued on Page Twc Whirlaway Tops Splendid Field for Equipoise Mile Sixteen Others Combine to Make Line-Up One of Best This Season Continued from Pace One field that has been assembled for the Equipoise Mile.
