Pedersons First Winner COLLINSVILLE. 111., June 25.— Gene Earl Pederson, who will be 21 years old on July 5, was one of the proudest reinsmen at Fairmount Park after the running of the first race Friday afternoon. Gene, who hails from Charbonneau, N. D., piloted Mrs. G. B. Clarks Valtite home to an easy victory in that event and in so doing scored the first victory of his career on a recognized track. Pederson, who is under contract to Raymond Fouts, can do as light ,as 100 pounds.
