ZOIC, away in the Best fliirht and taken back when ROYAL MINUET went to the front, took a brief lead in the stretch and failed to hold safe the winner. KIEV GAF1 NEY dropped back after the start, came between horses for the drive and passed tired horses near the end. GARDEN POOL tired. MOVNTKALA gave a eood peifonnance. ROYAL MINUET quit. The latter had the most speed, was under steady restraint, saved all possible ground and just failed to last. PAIRLET, never far back, closed fastest of all and was getting to the leaders. MY SUNSHINE, well placed and in tight quarters, was bumped repeatedly by HIT IT in the stretch, then tired. HIT IT was racing strongly when lie bore in entering the stretch and was eased when beaten.
