Permit McCreary to Fill Engagements in Stakes Allowed to Ride Calumet Farm Horses in Added Money Events HOMEWOOD, 111., June 28. Jockey Conn McCreary, who was suspended on Monday for the remainder of the Arlington Park Jockey Clubs meeting at Washington Park, today was reinstated insofar as he will be permitted to fill his many stakes engagements for his contract employer, Calumet Farm. The modification of their decision was announced today by the board of stewards. Today, then, when his suspension started, McCreary was back in the saddle astride Twilight Tear in the Princess Doreen Stakes. Saturday he is expected to guide Twosy in the rich Arlington Lassie Stakes and next Tuesday will pilot one of the Calumet representatives in the 0,000 Stars and Stripes Handicap. McCreary was suspended on Monday for "holding jockey Bodiou" who rode Blue Skimmer. McCreary was astride Twosy who was disqualified and placed second to Esle Asburys offended horse. The stewards announced their new decision after hearings earlier today. The following statement was issued: "In view of the clean record and the following rule otjthe Illinois Racing Board, the board of stewards have granted the application of jockey Conn McCreary to ride his stake engagements during the period of his suspension. "220 B. A jockey who is under suspension may be permitted to fulfill his engagements in stake races which, in the judgment of the board of stewards, haye been made in good faith."
